Hey Friends!  I never envisioned the need to create  a Caring Bridge site.  However, in the words of my favorite comedian, Kathleen Madigan, "Things are starting to get weird!"  After beating back breast cancer in 2012, this January, we discovered that breast cancer found a loop hole and took full advantage!  In January, 2017, after battling reoccurring bronchitis and pneumonia,   I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer that spread to the lungs, liver and bones.  Thanks to God, Mayo and my beautiful family and friends, we beat the cancer back for about seven months with an amazing clinical trial -- or so we thought.  Unfortunately, this week, cancer battled back and is now attacking my brain.  As Kurt likes to say, my cancer appears to be an over-achiever.  Right now, there is no cure.  All we can do is hope and pray for a cure and that the new treatments will push back and keep the cancer from progressing.  I love Facebook but I don't feel comfortable putting all the updates on FB.  My wonderful friends and family often request updates.  I hope this is a way Kurt and I can keep you in the loop.  Know how much each of you are loved.  We truly believe in the power of prayer!
