Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most. On June 14, 2016 Luke was going through an intersection when a vehicle turned in front of him. He could not avoid hitting the vehicle and was knocked unconscious. He's been on life support and a medically induced coma since the accident. His jaw both top and bottom have been reconstructed and wired shut. His right arm was broken pretty bad and has many screws and metal plates in it now. He has many broken ribs, a collapsed lung, punctured lung, damage to his spleen and a basilar skull fracture. He is very lucky so far there doesn't appear to be any brain damage. He's getting blood transfusions and remains in critical condition. He developed ARDS but the doctors remain positive for his recovery. So many people love and are praying for Luke and we are hopeful he will make it through this terrible time. His father and I will be updating with his progress and we truly appreciate all the love and support you've shown for Luke, it means so much and we can't wait for him to read about all the love when he's able.
