On Wednesday, July 28, 2021 our family was visiting Eagle Falls above Emerald Bay at Lake Tahoe with friends before we planned to head to the beach. Luke was exploring the falls and slipped and fell approximately 50’ down. It took medics a while to get to him and then he was air evacuated by helicopter in critical condition to Renown Medical Center. His injuries include a right frontal subdural hematoma, fractured orbital bones and nasal bones, right cheek bone and right and left frontal bones (forehead) fracture, grade 4 lacerated liver (that has been surgically repaired), kidney laceration, and T3-T7 endplate thoracic spine fracture.
