Hi! My name is Luca. I am a spunky, lovable one year old. When I was born I was diagnosed with transient myeloproliferative disorder. (TMD) This is a rare from of a leukemia. I had a lengthy NICU stay however by the time I was 3 months old I had beaten cancer and was in remission! Over the next few months I was monitored closely. In the beginning of September my blood work came back a little funky. After multiple bone marrow biopsies I was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) on October 30th, 2017. My parents worked closely with my doctors and we came up with a 6 month treatment plan where I will receive 5 rounds of chemo. I was admitted on Nov. 6th to start my first round. To focus on my recovery my mom stay's with me most of the time and my cool sister Mika (3 years old) and Dad come visit me often! While it is a financial and emotional burden on my family, my parents always have a smile on their faces because they know I will beat cancer again! Please follow my story and updates in the journal section. Also my mom loves to take pictures of me so make sure you check me and my sister out in the gallery. If you would like to help or make a financial donation please check out the ways to help section for the GO FUND ME account. (Be careful to not donate to/on caring bridge) Thanks so much for your positive vibes and support! Just know that I'm ready to kick cancers butt again!!!!
