Welcome to LuAnn's CaringBridge website. I have created it to share the memory of the most amazing and best friend I will ever have in this lifetime.  I have compiled all of LuAnn's blogs and letters keep LuAnn's memory alive and to tell the story of her journey fighting the beast of esophageal cancer.

 I was born in Portsmouth, OH. My maiden name is Mosley. I graduated from Northwest High School, class of 1992, and then obtained my nursing degree from Shawnee State University in 1994. Since graduating, I have worked at S.O.M.C., and I've worked in the emergency room since 1995. I love E.R. nursing; I'll probably never do anything else! I married (for the first time, lol) at age 25. I was married for 2 years, and then divorced. No hard feelings, no regrets...it just simply didn't work out! I am now happily married to Michael Webb. We were married in 2003. We have 2 children. Michaela, my step-daughter, is 10 years old. She attends school at Chesapeake Elementary. I'm sure I'm a little biased, but she is just about as perfect as it gets! We have a wonderful relationship; she's my best little buddy! Michaela loves the outdoors. You might find her having a tea party one minute, and then playing in dirt the next minute! She's very well rounded. She is so beautiful, both inside of out, and we are very proud of her! Connor is 3 years old, and he is all boy! He never quits; he runs, jumps, climbs continuously! Connor loves the outdoors too. He thinks he's "a big boy" now. I cherish the times that he lets me cuddle him; I think he'll always be my baby. (I hope!) I truly don't remember what life was like before him! I feel that we are very blessed to have 2 such wonderful, healthy kids! All of our hobbies/interests revolve around Michaela and Connor. I was never a big nature freak, but they have forced me to be! We are always outside, and I have to admit, I am really enjoying it! We live in the home I grew up in, and we love it here. It's a wonderful place for the kids to grow up. They are constantly exploring; you wouldn't believe the creatures they find! When it comes to our pets, we are a dangerous combination of a family! We all love animals. We just keep dragging in more and more! We have 5 horses, 3 dogs, a cat, a pot bellied pig, and 3 chickens. Wonder what we're gonna' get next?!

I received the following message in an e-mail. I thought it was beautiful, and wanted to share it with you. It perfectly explains the reasons why I will fight with everything I have to beat this horrible disease that has interrupted my life… A baby asked God, 'They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?' God said, 'Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you.' The child further inquired, 'But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy.' God said, 'Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy.' Again the child asked, 'And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?' God said, 'Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.' 'And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?' God said, 'Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.' 'Who will protect me?' God said, 'Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life.' 'But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore.' God said, 'Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you.' At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, 'God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name.' God said, 'You will simply call her, 'Mom.'
