On Tuesday June 13th, Rhonda came home and found Scott a bit confused and lack of energy. She called the ambulance and they took him to Jamestown Regional Medical Center, after some blood work, tests, X-rays and a lot of oxygen, they told us he had a possible heart attack. They told us the outlook was not good because they didn't know if he could make it thru surgery with how sick he was and if he did go through surgery he may never make it off a ventilator. Later after reading the X-rays and more stuff, they decided he had heart failure and were unsure if it was a heart attack or his heart just working so hard he wasn't getting enough oxygen along with possible pneumonia. They admitted him to Jamestown and he was put on a machine that looked like a CPAP, they explained it as a machine that would assist with his breathing & would give his heart & lungs a rest so he didn't have to work so hard. They also started him on antibiotics for pneumonia.
As you know Scott has been undergoing cancer treatments also. He had surgery last March to remove some tumors but they were not able to get all of them. They could have done a big surgery but it was decided against, so he is doing chemo weekly to keep the cancer from spreading.
With all that is going on his body is pretty sick & tired. We praying that he will push his way thru this again and beat the odds. The outlook was looking better today (Wednesday).
He is currently at: Jamestown Regional Medical Center, 2422 20th St SW, Jamestown ND Room 16,
