Lola Munoz Loving Lola

First post: Sep 5, 2016 Latest post: Jul 10, 2018
The name of Lola's site is titled so, because of how much love we all want to give and show her, and because of her loving and caring nature. On August 26, Lola was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma or DIPG, which is a brain stem tumor. This is an aggressive cancer with no cure. After much prayer and thru many tears we have come to the conclusion that we must live every moment and everyday as a gift and not to mourn her (or the diagnosis) while she is still here on earth. Is it difficult to do? YES! But, we must because she is our loving Lola and that is what is best.

Our loving Lola is a bright young girl with a big heart. Always seeking out the good things in life. Lola loves her family, friends, learning new things and she loves to have fun and to make people laugh. She is a proud big sister and best friends with her older brother. Lola loves Jesus, Our Blessed Mother and the Saints. Our Lord has given us blessings with the gift of raising Lola, her two brothers and one sister.  As our second child she has dedicated her time to her faith, family, friends, school and her many hobbies. Lola has chosen to continue on his path while being treated for her cancer. Please follow and read her updates, as we will try to update as often as is possible.

We would also like to say thank you to our family, friends, faith community, military community, school community, friends of friends and family. Thank you for keeping Lola and our family in your prayers, giving much needed support and advice. There are no words that can properly convey our most deepest and heartfelt gratitude.

We have been asking Saint Clare of Assisi, Saint Philomena, Saint Bernadette, and Our Lady to join us in intercessory prayer for Lola while praying the Chaplet of Divine Mercy during the Mercy hour and the Holy Rosary.

For our non-Catholic friends and family, please know and trust that all your prayers are most welcomed and very much needed!

In Christ,

Melissa and Agustin Muñoz
