Thank you for popping on to see how Andi Lucero is doing, and to learn how you may support her journey towards full healing (please visit the Ways to Help link). Here is a note from Andrea about her diagnosis:

In January I was diagnosed with HERS breast cancer which metastasized into my spine, with a tumor in my abdomen and a small spot on my liver. I underwent targeted radiation on the biggest tumor in my spine which was dangerously close to my spinal cord and needed to be dealt with first and foremost.

During this treatment I was constantly nauseous and throwing up, I had no appetite and cloud rarely keep anything down. My plans to take the nutrition, supplements and  other cancer fighting foods and natural remedies seemed undoable.

In  March I  was hospitalized for an emergency MRI and second opinion by a neurosurgeon.  The MRI revealed that surgery was not an option so we proceeded with the targeted radiation of which I spoke earlier. During my stay at the hospital, an Oncologist who works with my Oncologist explained that Chemo was the best chance for me at this juncture. He explained the three medications of which this Chemotherapy was comprised of - 2 of the drugs are targeted (Chemo) and one goes after the protein shield and the other prevents the A and B chromosomes from coming together which causes further spreading. The third is the hard-core Chemo where you loose your hair and the whole body gets poisoned.  I had reluctantly agreed to the treatment as I felt like I didn't have the time to take the course of action I had planned on.

After my release from the hospital, I met with my oncologist who said we would start with the 2 targeted drugs - this is where I felt like I was given divine intervention and I didn't second guess it.  Later, I found out that the reason they did not want to do the Chemo was because my liver was too weak (I never thought I would be praising God for having a weak liver).

Now that the nausea has subsided and I can take all my holistic supplements and foods, I am hopeful that my next Pet Scan in a few months from now will reveal that the disease has significantly decreased or better yet is completely undetectable.
