I have had countless episode's over the past 21 years, sought numerous types treatments at over a handful of hospital systems and health providers, and yet the state of my disease has gotten progressively worse.
Recently, I was diagnosed with Persistent Depressive Disorder or dismythia (defined as a low mood occurring for at least two years, along with at least two other symptoms of depression including lost interest in normal activities, hopelessness, low self-esteem, low appetite, low energy, sleep changes, and poor concentration).
