Lois was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma winter of 2016. She began weekly treatments near their winter home in Weslaco, TX, to try to arrest the cancer. Progress was made, but not without some side effects. After a visit to M. D. Anderson Cancer Care Center in Houston, TX it was determined that Lois was a good candidate for a stem cell transplant. This journey took her back down to Houston for at least two months during the summer of the 2017. Friends and family, this site is for you to receive progress notes and a way for you to relay your support and encouragement to Lois.
