Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.

In June of 2021, Loure was diagnosed with Ameloblastoma, an aggressive tumor, in her lower left jaw. After treatments from June to December to ensure there was no spread, the best way to stop the tumor from growing is surgery according to the great team of doctors at M.D. Anderson.  The traditional procedure is removal of the entire tumor with 1-2 centimeters of bone in every direction. The reason for the extra bone removal is to decrease the risk of the tumor coming back. To help replace Loure’s lower left mandible, they will use her fibula from her right leg.  The surgery will be 12-14 hours and recovery will be a long step-by-step process.  This process includes physical therapy, speech therapy, and many more daily progression milestones.

We are excited you have chosen to be a supporter, prayer warrior, and encourager to Loure and her family as she journeys towards restoration.
