Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
Louise  fell out of bed and went to the emergency room at about 1 AM on Sunday, January 30. She has a fractured hip and the rod in her femur is displaced. After consulting with the surgeon, Louise declined having surgery and has chosen to go on Hospice. She has lived with Nicki, her daughter, in Hernando, Florida since June of 2020 and was transported to Nicki‘s home on Thursday, February 3.   Hospice hasstarted a care plan for her and Nicki is arranging and hiring  help for her care.  Her pain is now being controlled with pain medicine every four hours. She is mentally with it but groggy from the pain medicine and is eating very little.  When we talked to her for a few minutes this morning, she said, " Oh, I was hoping you'd get here so you could meet God."  She also quoted a few verses of Psalm 23!  Jim and John will make plans soon to visit!  ✝️🙏❤️      Louise would love prayers for comfort and she even took the hand held wooden cross made by Jim with her to the hospital. Nicki will read any messages of love and concern posted here to her when she is alert.  We know she lives on the promise of Matthew 28:20  “ I am with you always, even until the end of time.”
We will keep posting updated news at this site so you can stay informed. I know it will be easier than a lot of phone calls.
