Welcome to our CaringBridge website for Mom, Meemaw, Hank, Weezy, Aunt Louise...Louise Fox.  We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. 

Mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in the summer of 2017.  Her doctors have tried several drugs to slow its progression but to no avail.  We have seen a significant decline in mom's cognitive and motor functioning in the past 3 months.  Mom continues to live at The Lewinsville in McLean, Virginia.  She is cared for by nursing aides, Brian, and her family.   Capital Caring is coordinating Hospice services to ensure Mom is comfortable and has everything she needs as she becomes less mobile.

Every day is a new adventure for Mom.  Some days she can communicate more clearly than others.  Mom enjoys listening to music, hearing stories, holding Brian's hand, and eating sweet treats.  Feel free to leave her a note, remind her of your favorite memory or tell her a good joke.  Mom has a renewed sense of humor and laughs often.
