Welcome to our CaringBridge website for our dear mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. After a significant stroke last September, Lorraine spent 3 months in rehabilitation in Florida before coming home to live with us here in Berne, NY. Wayne was with her for many weeks in Florida, and the flew home with her in a very teeny tiny medical transport plane. Recovery and rehab from the stroke has been very limited, and Lorraine's right side and speech remain significantly impaired. Our goal is to keep Lorraine as comfortable and healthy as possible during this next phase of her remarkable life. No one knows the future, we can only do our best now, and with love, and that is what is happening here in the snowy mountains of the northeast.
