If you see me around town with a scarf on my head and looking a little puffy, I haven't had work done. (Not that there's anything wrong with that!) Instead, it's the side effects of chemo. I was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer in my right breast on Friday the 13th (of July) and started chemo a month later. I get chemo once every three weeks for four cycles, then once a week for 12 weeks. That will be followed by surgery around February. I've been very happy with my team at Kaiser and can't say enough great things about the nurses. Then, there's my hubby who is truly the best partner anyone could ask for in times like these!
