If you know Lori, you love Lori.  I'm lucky enough to call her my sister.  As you may know, Lori has had a year of incredible challenges.  One has been a series of several, mysterious broken feet.  After numerous trips to Mayo and countless tests, her dedicated physicians have diagnosed her with Cushing's Disease, which leads to osteoporosis, among other nasty conditions.  Luckily it was detected early, but has left two pesky tumors on her pituitary that we need removed.  Lori's brain surgery is scheduled for October 8th.  I'll be there prior and until Oct. 24th.  The surgeon has her remaining at Mayo a few days post-op, then a whopping six week recovery at home, which he describes as pretty rough.  We believe that with her amazing village and our fearless faith all will be well.  I've started this site to streamline communications:  updates on her health, needs with food and such, when she will be able to receive visitors, and any funny things she may utter coming out of anesthesia.  Please know that I will be a strict Gate Keeper, as her need to rest and recover supersedes her want to visit with loved ones.  With three teenage boys at home meals would be most appreciated, but must be dairy and gluten-free.  THANK YOU ALL so much for your forthcoming support.  Keep the prayers, drumming, humming, strumming, and love coming her way.
