On Saturday, February 24, 2018, Loren Dunham was snorkeling in Hawaii and nearly drowned. For a couple days, Loren was unconscious. By Sunday night, he was sedated and intubated but stable. By Monday, Loren was still sedated but his eyes were open and he was tracking movements and responding to some commands. The next day, Loren was removed from the ventilator and he was coherent. By the end of the day, he recognized his wife and was able to state who the current U.S. President was. At first, he said George Bush. Then after a bit more thought, he said, "Donald Trump. Good Lord!" His recovery continues.
