                                   THE JOURNEY CONTINUES


Greetings Everyone - A lot of you know that I had  COVID and was hospitalized for most of April. I came home on Oxygen with nursing and home care and they, as well as friends from all over, got me through the next three months. Food was  brought to the hospital because I’m allergic to soy, which was in everything the hospital served, and I’ve received so many cards as well as flowers and financial gifts  I am eternally grateful and so humbled by the outpouring of love and care. The journey has been both challenging at times and amazing as I’ve embraced it as a spiritual invitation or rite-of-passage. There have been a number of losses, but the daily small miracles have far outweighed them. 


I continue to make gains on a daily basis through long-haul COVID.  I'm completely off  the oxygen, gaining strength and stamina every day, and too  many other gains and gifts to name here.  One of the gifts I do want to share, however, is that in a followup COVID appointment with my primary care physician a few weeks ago, I was quickly sent for a mammogram and ultrasound. A biopsy was done the same day. The next morning I learned I have invasive ductal carcinoma of the left breast.  A mastectomy  is scheduled 4 days from now on Thursday, September 30th at 9:00 AM at Abbot Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. I should only be in the hospital 1-3 days. 


So the Journey continues:
I would very much appreciate you keeping me in your prayers and mediations - or sending healing energy, or whatever is your spiritual practice - and visualizing me surrounded in a pink blanket of LOVE.   I am trusting that I will grow deep and wide through this part of the journey as I have and continue to do through COVID.  I'll write more later, but for now I am beyond humbled and grateful for such an amazing community.
