On August 4, we were shocked to learn of a new diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.   What started out as flu-like symptoms on July 22, progressively worsened into a visit to the ER, which revealed a tumor.  With some diagnostic testing, it was identified as stage 3.  This life-changing news has drastically turned our lives upside down.  We are seeking care at the University of Iowa, where we feel we are receiving excellent care.
