This spring Lois caught a typical “bad” cold and just had a hard time getting over it X-Rays showed tumors in both lungs as well as a metastatic spot on her liver. After further testing in St.Louis, including biopsies of her liver and lung, it was determined that she has two different cancers. She has lymphoma in the lung and adenocarcinoma of unknown origin... meaning we still don’t know where it’s coming from! After further consultations with 2 oncologists, it was determined that she will begin treatment to treat the lymphoma first and hopefully it will treat the other cancer as well.
She will begin treatment this Friday 5/24 back home in Quincy surrounded by her friends, family and community she loves.
Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers as well as send her encouraging notes. I’m sure she’d love to hear from you.... once I show her how to use this site! Lol
