Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.

It all started on Oct 14, 2020.  After having a number of visits to the chiropractor for back pain, Logan went to the doctor and had an MRI done of his spine.  Thinking that he maybe had a ruptured disk or something similar to that nature, that was not the case and our hearts sank.  The MRI indicated a number of tumors, some large, around the spine and abdomen area.  We immediately packed our bags and left for the Mayo Clinic ER.

The next day they did a number of CT scans and MRI’s of different areas and diagnosed him with cancer, metastatic testicular carcinoma.  It all started with a cyst in his testicle, and the cancer matastasized to other areas, his chest, lungs, abdomen, pelvis, and the back of his head (upper spine area).  They then admitted him to St. Mary’s hospital and began intensive chemo treatments on Oct. 17,18, and 19 and he was discharged the evening of the 19th.  Even though he was happy to be home, the next 3 days were the worst.  He couldn’t stand the light, sound, or any TV, and he would hardly move.  The pain killers would only help with part of the excruciating pain.

After being home for a few days, he got a blood clot in his groin area.  They did a CT scan of his lungs to make sure nothing traveled to the lungs.  The CT scan came back good, so we were very thankful for that.  He now has to give himself 2 shots a day in his stomach until the clot dissolves.

He will be going back to Mayo for round 2 of chemo treatments Nov 2-6 and will need 2 more rounds of chemo within the next 6 weeks.

We want to thank EVERYONE for all the kind thoughts, messages, phone calls, and many prayers sent our way.  We would also like to thank those that stopped by with meals, etc. Please continue to keep Logan in your prayers. 🙏🏻❤️ Thank you.
