On 6/5/2017, Logan, the oldest son of David and Justine Liddle, had not been feeling well, and his primary provider suggested he be taken to urgent care. There they felt a mass in his abdomen, so he was sent to Allen ER where a CT scan confirmed a large mass. Logan and Justine then road in an ambulance to the U of I hospital ER where they were told the mass was about 3" X 3" X 3" and Logan was admitted to the U of I children's hospital.

On 6/6/17, Logan had a biopsy done, which confirmed cancer - rhabdomyosarcoma, a cancer of the muscles. He had a port placed to prepare for chemo treatments.

During testing, it was also discovered that Logan has two holes in his heart, both of which have been there since birth and one of them will need to be fixed at some point. Thankfully they do not feel that it needs to be fixed before chemo, but it will eventually need to be repaired.
