Lloyd has been sick since he was born this is a birth defect in newborns it's so rare one in ten births now. The only way to correct the problem is to have a liver transplant. At about 10 weeks old Lloyd had a surgery that's called the Kasai that normally only last for a few years in children. Lloyd's Kasai has held up for 35 years. In 2005 he went under another surgery called the tips procedure this is when they put a shunt on the liver to help with blood flow so he doesn't bleed internally. In July 2015 Lloyd became very ill again he was added to transplant list he was 2nd on the list. As the months past his liver showed improvement their was so much improvement he was removed from the list in April 2016. Oct.15 2016 Lloyd became very ill again and he is current in the hospital at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville TN. He is very jaundice high liver levels. As of now they are working to find out what is causing his flare up. He will get the work up to be added back to the transplant list. We ask that everyone continue to pray for him and our family. Pray as we the family travel back and forth from Athens AL to Nashill TN. I will update as we have updates.
