Here’s the story, as relayed by Mom & Dad: Dad was bush hogging one of the fields off of Rt 79 with a tractor.  He got on the tractor fender with a chainsaw to trim some hanging branches that were in the way. He must’ve felt himself slip because he was able to throw the chainsaw clear, but he landed on his head/face. The fall broke his C1, C3 & T4 vertebrae, chipped or broke a bone in his arm & gave him a serious bell-ringing that knocked him out. Mom was behind him in the van so she was right there, but Dad wouldn’t let her call the ambulance when he came to - he said he was okay & to prove it, he drove the tractor back to the shop & put it away.  When they drove home, Dad wasn’t able to get out of the car or move, so he let Mom take him to the LCMH ER. The ER doc took xrays & life-flighted Dad to OSU-Werner Brain & Spine Hospital. He’s a very lucky guy!
