The 2022 Winter Olympics wrapped up a few days ago, on February 20th. These athletes have prepared a lifetime to participate to have the opportunity to bring home the gold!

On 2/24/22 our beautiful mother, Elizabeth began her own “Olympic training”. After a few months of unexplained illness’s and numerous emergency room visits and hospital stays, we got the diagnosis no one wants to hear, stage 3 Classical Hodgkin Lymphoma (CHL).

CHL is the more common type of cancer of the lymphatic system, which is a part of your immune system. It may affect people of any age, but is most common in people between 20 and 40 years old and those over 55.

The good news is that this type of cancer has an 80%-90% of a full recovery and a good quality of life, during and after treatment.

While the road ahead for our mother will be filled with speed bumps and uncertainty, I have no doubt that she will bring home the “GOLD” and will be a true athlete at kicking this cancer to the curb.

Please keep our mother in your prayers for complete healing and may the Lord give her the strength to bring home the “gold” and become cancer free.

❤️ Richard, Regina & Nicole
