Elizabeth (Liz) Howard Liz’s Health Updates

Hi Family! 

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. Liz has been ill since the end of January. She’s had 3 hospital stays and this last one has been a doozy. 

On March 12th, Liz had surgery to repair a hole in her small intestines. Although the surgery went well she experienced complications. On March 20th she was diagnosed with the following: 

1) Sepsis —> Update: she is no longer in sepsis 🙌🏾
2) Pneumonia
3) Ileus —> Update: this is resolved 🙌🏾
4) Abdominal Hematoma —> Update: no longer a threat to her recovery 🙌🏾

4/22/21 Update: Since the initial complications were found we’ve experienced a myriad of blessings and setbacks. She has a long road to recovery. Right now the focus is on getting her back to stable condition without medical intervention.
