Welcome to Lisey’s Carebridge site. I created this to keep family and friends updated on her progress and create an understanding about her condition. We finally got a diagnosis for her after about two years of seeing many doctors with no explanation for worsening and mysterious symptoms highly affecting her quality of life and ability to carry on with her job. Back in August, we saw a balance specialist and were told she has a neurological chronic condition called Vestibular Migraine and Complex Migraine, which she experiences everyday. As time has gone on, it has become harder for Lisey to manage daily functioning tasks due to all day lightheadedness, vertigo, balance and memory issues along with sensitivity to motion/light and sound. We are currently working with a very skilled doctor who has found success in various treatments and are trying to find the right combination of medication and other approaches that will get her back on her feet and able to do what she loves! This has been a tough journey for Lisey experiencing a of loss of independence, isolation and feeling symptoms that never seem to lighten up. I wanted to create this site so that Lisey is reminded by her family and friends to keep positive, keep fighting and that there is a light at the end of the tunnel!
