After months of dealing with an 'ear infection' that would not clear up my ENT suggested surgery to clean out my mastoid bone and determine what type of infection I had.  Surgery on 2/1/17 ended up with a cancer diagnosis on 2/16/17 - glomangiopericytoma.  It is a very rare non aggressive form of cancer that only has a handful of cases reported.  I have conferred with doctors at Univ. of Penn and Hershey Medical center.  I also spoke with an oncologist from Abraham Cancer center.  All doctors agreed surgery to remove the cancer was the appropriate treatment.
