The struggle has been finding the words and acceptance of what she is facing enough to actually sit down and start this. As many of you know, Lisa is an extremely private person. She had to come to terms with this, before I would even consider doing this. She gave me the go ahead last night, so with that, I will do the best that I can in keeping you all informed of her condition. With keeping her privacy in mind, she has asked that we don't share this on Facebook at this time.Lisa has been diagnosed with stage four ovarian cancer. The cancer has spread to her uterus, colon and liver, and is spreading rapidly. The doctors have told her and the family that it is terminal. With this being said, we got some great news this morning from her oncology gynecologist! He is planning on starting Lisa on a 12 week chemotherapy regiment that most patients respond positively from. He believes the tumors will shrink and gave Lisa a much brighter outlook!Ovarian cancer is know as a silent cancer. Nothing was ever detected at her annual exams for this reason. This is a shock to her and to all of us.We will be using this web-site to update everyone on her condition. You may also use it write to her in the guest book.
