Today is the day I got news I never I expected. I have Leiomyosarcoma. About 1 in 100,000 get this diagnosis. I have no idea what the path ahead of me will be. I will keep my faith strong and hold my family close.
On March 13, 2020, I had a full hysterectomy to remove fibroids. I didn't have the typical symptoms of pain or bleeding but had a very large fibroid that was the equivalent of a 5 month pregnancy. It was removed in its entirety. Surgery is the first option for LMS so hopefully the hardest part is behind me. Our next appt is with oncology. We will update as we can. Thanks and much love. -Lisa
