Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. Lisa Clare was discovered by her husband, Alan, at the foot of the stairs in their home on the afternoon of Saturday April 22, 2017. She had apparently fallen down the stairs, but couldn't remember what happened and had trouble standing on her own. At the hospital she received a CAT scan that revealed evidence of two bleeds - subarachnoid and parenchymal. She also exhibited some respiratory distress, so she was admitted to trauma ICU and intubated. After three days she was breathing normally so the ventilator was discontinued and she was moved to a transitional unit. She will need physical therapy to regain some of her physical abilities and some work to resolve her disorientation issues.
