This website is an attempt to let people know what is going on with me medically without intruding or constantly talking about my health.  If you want to know details, you can read about it here.  Whether you know details or not, I appreciate your prayers that my Lord and Savior would be glorified through whatever comes, and that I would trust Him to lead me in every moment.  If anyone asks, please pass the website address along to others, especially any prayer warriors you know!

 

I was diagnosed with the lung disease COPD in 2003 at age 43, and in 12/08 went on oxygen 24/7.  There is currently no cure for this progressive disease, and I will need a transplant eventually.  I’ve been stable through 2009 at 33-38% of normal lung capacity, which is considered severe.  I could live at this level for years, and am doing what I can to increase those chances.

 

There was a possibility I would have an operation before a transplant, but on 12/2/09 we learned that the surgery would not be effective in my case.


The newest wrinkle, and reason I went ahead with the website now, is that on 12/11/09 I had a seizure. We're just beginning to explore why this happened. I expect my situation will be a long, chronic illness rather than anything flashy, but the website is now in place if there is news.
