This is from an e-mail my mom wrote to several of her friends explaining my condition, it's a good summary

"I have waited to get back to you with Lisa's prognosis until we had more information.  Following the surgery on March 14, there was a two-week wait for the results of the pathology.  She met with the surgeon a week ago and learned there was a malignant tumor in her uterus and it had traveled to one of her ovaries.  Based on that fact, she received a CT scan to determine if there was visible cancer elsewhere.  We met with the surgeon yesterday to learn the results of the scan.

The doctor emphasized that while there were no visible cancer signs elsewhere, the fact that it had traveled to the ovary meant that she would need to undergo both chemo and radiation.  The suggestion is that she go through six cycles of chemo (once every three weeks) followed by radiation for five days a week for six weeks.  The doctor plans to meet with Virginia Masons' tumor panel to review the test results and confirm the recommendations for treatment."

Since this was written, we've learned that the cancer is grade 1, which is good as they tend to be slower growing.  It is stage 3, not great as it had spread.  I start Chemo on 4/21, and will have the six cycles.
