Hi! Thank you so much for visiting my site. I guess a little about me. I’m a mom, a “Minnie” to 3 beautiful grands, a wife, an employee, a sister, a daughter, cousin, aunt, friend but most of all a woman who holds her faith in her God seriously.
The beginning of June I started having pain in my lower abdomen. I called my Doctor who thought it was diverticulitis (again) but she didn’t like the pain I was having on the right as well as left side. So she ordered a CT scan. A couple hours later I received a call that would change my life forever.
A mass on my only ovary (previous hysterectomy). I sat at the table and cried. I’ve never felt so lost. This isn’t supposed to happen. I’m young, healthy and have so much to do.
Surgery a couple weeks later. But since the mass was so big (5 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches) I was convinced it wasn’t cancer. I woke up from surgery to see a frightened look on my husbands face. I knew it was bad. The mass, ovary, appendix, parts of stomach had been removed and cancer detected.
STAGE 3 OVARIAN CANCER.
TIME TO FIGHT!!!!!
I FOUGHT!!!!!!! I WON!!!!!! Now, time for another battle. A smaller battle, but one I plan to win!! Surgery to repair a massive hernia from the stupid chemotherapy!!!
