So I know i already posted this on Facebook, but i figured this would be a good start.

Just want to give everyone a brief update on mom. Long story short we went to Mankato February 3rd for her ankle surgery at around 3am. She did goo on the surgery but was having a hard time waking up completely from it. The doctors came and told us she doesn't have bilateral movements, which could be a sign of a stroke, so they wanted to fly her to Rochester. Doctos in Rochester did a glorifed CT scan and they found that she indeed did have a massive stroke on the left sid eof her body which is why her right isn't working right. She squeezed dads hand and gave me a smile. We saw her wiggle her toes and even move her right arm a little. We thought she was progressing great compared to her beginning state. She had a scheduled CT scan at 8pm last night. We thought she was doing great, but i guess that wasnt good enought. The doctors came in and told us the CT scan showed some swelling of the brain. They didn't want the bad side which is the left to move into the right side which is her good side. They walked us thru the whole process and what they thought would be the best for mom. They siggested removing the left part of her skill to reduce the swelling of the brain. So we talked about what we should do. And we all decided if this surgery can save mom's life we will do it. So last night at around midnight she went in for head surgery. We all slept in a waiting area till morning. We found out she reacted well to the surgery and everything went well. Of course she is hooked up to many many machines to monitor her breathing and her BP and heart and what not. So we are taking this hour by hour right now. Prayer is huge and we ask everyone to shout out a prayer for us all here. I will try to keep you updated on here as much as i can. Thank you all for the supportiveness, we difinately need it. This is a life changing event and all the support and love we can get from each and everyone of you is amazing!
