Lin Sobie Faithful Servant

On Thursday, November 3, 2016, Lin suffered a devastating abdominal aneurysm. Days prior to this she was experiencing some abdominal pain but thought it was just the flu. The following details conveyed on Friday morning by their close friend and physician, Steve, will help bring family and friends up-to-date as to what transpired on Thursday and Friday.

"...I am pleased to report that Lin is improving. What we are seeing is nothing short of miraculous. Lin had a blood vessel that was bleeding well hidden behind her pancreas. She has been transfused with over 25 units of blood, suffered 3 separate cardiac arrests each lasting over 30 minutes, and suffered through 2 abdominal surgeries requiring her abdomen to be left open until the swelling goes down.

What I was expecting to see is not what I found. While she is not yet breathing on her own she is following commands, which means that her brain is doing very well for what it has endured. I was in the room for her cardiac echo, and her heart looks great. Lin is by no means out of dangerous waters, but we are all encouraged that despite her very long 24 hours, Lin is fighting and doing quite well..."

Lin's family and friends are scattered throughout the world. Within minutes of receiving the news, a network of phone calls, e-mails, text messages, and social media posts spanned the globe. Countless prayer warriors went to their knees and cried out to the Living God who graciously, mercifully and, yes, miraculously, intervened. Our Lin is alive.

The immense outpouring of love and compassion has been made known to the entire Sobie family in countless ways. Thank you--a million times thank you--to each one who has and is caring for, praying over, and standing in the gap on their behalf.  May the Lord bless you in abundance for all you have done and will continue to do to show love and support to the Sobie family.
