Linnea was walking home from voting at 2:40 PM  on Tuesday, November 8.  She was crossing the street at 2nd Street  and 5th Avenue near MacPhail Center for Music in downtown Minneapolis.   She was struck by a car which was coming down 5th Avenue, turning to the right on 2nd Street.  She has multiple breaks in her pelvis, sacrum and ribs.  She has no internal bleeding and no paralysis.  She was cared for at HCMC for 6 days.    She  had X-rays and other care-- no surgery will occur.  She will be resting and doing physical and occupational therapy for approximately 8 weeks. She is currently at Catholic Eldercare Transitional Care Unit where she has Occupational and Physical Therapy each day, as well as other great care and wonderful meals.   If you are interested in contacting Linnea, please check the "Planner" under "Ways to Help."  She currently receives cards and well wishes via snail mail at Linnea Olesen / Catholic Eldercare Transitional Care Facility/ Room 274/  149 8th Ave. NE Minneapolis, MN 55413    .   She  sends her love and gratitude to all.
