Lindsey Poulsen

Hello! For those of you who do not know, Lindsey was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer on April 22, 2016. Her journey began with an uncomfortable sensation in her abdomen on Friday, April 15th. A tumor was found and she was scheduled for surgery to remove the mass on Wednesday April 20th. During the surgery it was discovered that the tumor was cancerous and had spread to other parts of her abdomen as well. They removed a few of the cancer stricken areas, but were still unsure what type of cancer this actually was. On Friday April 22, we got the pathology results back and determined it is Ovarian Cancer.

For now treatment looks like 3 months of chemo, a complete hysterectomy, and then 3 more months of chemo. She has gone through IVF treatments to retrieve her eggs and has started her weekly cocktails. Lindsey will be continuing treatment in Hawaii surrounded by an incredible team of doctors, her family, her boyfriend, and a few close friends. She has an amazing and positive outlook and is ready to fight! Please check back for more updates! Thank you for your support!
