April 26, 2021 Lindsay received an email that she had new test results to look at. She had gone for her annual blood work to check her thyroid levels. Being a little more tired than normal, she was certain her levels were not where they should be. She had done some testing in the previous months that showed her thyroid cancer was still in remission.

As she read the results of this new blood work, her doctor called with some shocking news. The blood work was high suspicious for some type of leukemia. After talking with her doctor, she talked to the hematologist who suggested it may be Chronic Myelogenic Leukemia (CML) which could be treated with oral chemotherapy (pills). A bone marrow biopsy will confirm the diagnosis so a plan could be made.

This site will be the story of Lindsay's second trip through cancer land.
