Linda was officially diagnosed with Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC) in March of 2014. This is an auto-immune disease of the bile duct system within the liver. The bile ducts get stenosed, or narrowowed, and the bile backs up in the liver and destroys liver tissue. This ultimately causes cirrhosis and a host of other issues. There are no medication to cure or slow this diseaese down, but, procedures like ERCP have helped to buy her some time. We were educated early on that the only cure for this is a liver transplant! Today, the damage to the liver is significant and the side effects are compounding. So....she begins her journey to a whole liver transplant. Linda is a faith-filled child of God and more than anything appreciates all of you including her in your daily prayers during this journey. Her work here is not done and she is going to fight like crazy to get back to a more normal way of life. Thank you for visiting Linda's page and leaving her a message.
