As most of you know, I have been diagnosed with Stage 2, grade III Breast Cancer. I will be undergoing breast surgery, radiation and chemo. I had my first visit with my surgeon, Dr. Allison Laidley at Texas Oncology, Medical City today and I loved her. She was very thorough and very detail oriented. I have an invasive carcinoma but she has ordered an MRI because she wants no surprises when she goes in. If everything is how she thinks it is, I will have a lumpectomy which is a day surgery and then the radiation and chemo. She is confident we can get all the cancer and I am confident in her and God. We have a vacation scheduled for next week, but treatment and surgery will begin the week after that. I am not a worrier, I am a fighter, have been down this road before and beat leukemia and I will beat this too. I do covet all your prayers because I believe in prayer and I believe that God is my greatest healer. I also know that through HIM ALL things are possible. I will be keeping everyone updated via this site. I know I have the most amazing family, friends, and extended family that anyone could ask for and I love you all.
