Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. As most of you know, I have been diagnosed with Stage 2, grade III Breast Cancer. I will be undergoing breast surgery, radiation and chemo. I had my first visit with my surgeon, Dr. Allison Laidley at Texas Oncology, Medical City today and I loved her. She was very thorough and very detail oriented. I have an invasive carcinoma but she has ordered an MRI because she wants no surprises when she goes in. If everything is how she thinks it is, I will have a lumpectomy which is a day surgery and then the radiation and chemo. She is confident we can get all the cancer and I am confident in her and God. We have a vacation scheduled for next week, but treatment and surgery will begin the week after that. I am not a worrier, I am a fighter, have been down this road before and beat leukemia and I will beat this too. I do covet all your prayers because I believe in prayer and I believe that God is my greatest healer. I also know that through HIM ALL things are possible. I will be keeping everyone updated via this site. I know I have the most amazing family, friends, and extended family that anyone could ask for and I love you all.
