Tuesday July 12, 2016, following my yearly routine mammogram, and a breast biopsy, my Doctor called me to confirm that I have breast cancer. My first words to her is where do we go from here? What is the next step? This journey began with me telling my two children that I have breast cancer. From then on the days and weeks that followed seem like a daze. I told all my friends, my family, my coworkers, and my church family that I have breast cancer. Then the doctor appointments began. The decisions I had to make were difficult. I found comfort in my faith. My support of friends and family is overwhelming. I truly feel loved right now. I know I am not alone.
