Linda "Ole" Olson fell down the stairs on the morning of Monday July 17 around 2:00 am.  She was sleep walking. Her husband Bill was able to get her back up the stairs but they quickly realized her fall was serious. 911 was called and she was taken to the hospital where they discovered she had broken both arms. One arm needed surgery. Once out of surgery Linda began to lose her bearings. Because of her liver disease, her body wasn't able to process the combination of pain killers and anesthesia. Ammonia built up in her system to a point where she stopped responding and interacting with her nurses and doctors. She spent several days in the ICU where we weren't sure if she would ever wake up out of her state. On Friday afternoon Linda began waking up which can only be attributed to the power of prayer and how stubborn she can be. She wasn't going to let this beat her.  By Sunday, most of Linda's mind was clear as she was medicated to help clear her body of the ammonia.
Monday, July 24, Linda will be transferred to a rehabilitation skilled nursing facility where she will take the time to heal.
Taking time away from home, work, and church is going to be very hard for her. She loves her coworkers, friends, and church congregation; you all are her family. Visitors are VERY much welcome and appreciated. This site will help facilitate updating everyone on her condition and on what her and Bill will need to be successful in the upcoming weeks and months.
We appreciate everyone's desire to help in anyway they can!
