Linda Merrill

It is with a heart full of sadness, that I am journaling that Linda passed on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. Her family was with her, and they lovingly shared her peaceful and quiet passing, at 3:15 pm.. 
Linda is being missed for the humor and love that she so generously shared with so many people.  
Linda, your passing has us grieving the absence of your light for Ward, Brian and Scott and their families...and for all of us.

Tonight Ward told us, “Linda always lights up a room.”
    Our guess is that you are here at Linda’s CaringBridge page, because she lights up your room, too.
    Earlier today we found out that Linda has stage 4 pancreatic cancer.  Her prognosis is difficult to hear. They feel that Linda has three months with life as she has been living; six to seven months with successful treatment. 
Her journey to the naming of this diagnosis has been frustrating and very difficult. 
Poor health, including unrelenting pain and weight loss became ever increasing symptoms that defined the last six months. 
    Ward and Linda requested this site out of love for each of you and to streamline communications to give you updates on this difficult journey. Also, this is a common place for you to offer your support, and Linda would also like to read your ‘remember when we...’ stories, maybe even a Cher song.
    Knowing that Linda will require extended  care and rest, Ward will necessarily be a strict gate keeper of their availability for visits and communications. Please fill this site with your words and love.
    They thank you for your support, your love and for recognizing Linda’s bright light.
Just like for you, when I am with Linda, she always lights up the room.
