Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Some of you may know that my bride and joy has been very sick for a few months now. What started out as a freak accident at home resulted in a concussion. This has manifested into several severe bouts with nausea, dehydration, passing out, and headaches.

After numerous visits with neurologists, endocrinologists, emergency rooms, opthamologists, and a gastro doctor, we have our diagnosis.

Linda Fishlock Merkley has a brain tumor. It is located around the pituitary gland and optic nerve. This type of tumor is generally benign, but it is going to have to require surgery as it is pressuring parts of the brain that have cutoff her ability to produce specific hormones regulating her body. The surgery is this Tuesday, 2-7-17. The good news is the procedure has a high rate of success and the risk of cancer in minimal.

I have started this Caring Bridge page for you to share your thoughts and prayers with Linda and follow her progress as she fights to be well again.
