2019 has been a very difficult year for our otherwise easy going, light hearted, fun, humorous, positive mom who has given so much to her family, friends, neighbors, and community.
In January of 2019, Linda was hospitalized for 10 days with a severe infection. Her recovery was long, but her infectious strength got her through it. Just when she thought she was on the mend, she was diagnosed with breast cancer on April 1, 2019. The past 8 months have been even more difficult. Linda has persevered through a tough 12 rounds of chemo, 2 surgeries, and just this week completed 25 days of radiation. Linda is still receiving chemotherapy treatments tentatively until July 2020. At this point, she is sick and tired of being sick and tired.
We decided to create this page to reach out to everyone that knows our sweet mom and ask for help. If you know her, you know she is the most strong, hard-working, positive, and enthusiastic person. We need your help to build her up and let her know that we are all behind her cheering her on. We need to help her realize that she WILL get through this. 2019 is one bad year. 2020 is on the horizon and it WILL be amazing!!!
Please feel free to post encouraging messages or private message us for her mailing address to send a note. At this time, gifts of meals are not necessary as she is eating a very bland diet when she can eat. Although Linda recently retired, her plan was to go back to work this past year. Due to her illness she has been unable to do that. Gifts of gift cards or monetary contributions to help ease some of her financial burden during this time would be so greatly appreciated.
