Early morning, February 22, l looked in the mirror and was shocked to see a yellow (jaundiced) face looking back at me! Yikes! At 9 am, I started calling doctors. Eight days later, the diagnosis was pancreatic cancer. WOW! Didn’t see that coming! Thanks to Dr. Indira Donnapudi, I was immediately sent to The Liver Institute at Methodist Hospital in Dallas where I had tests, a bile duct stent placed, and met with Dr. Alajandro Mejia. A Modified Whipple procedure (done robotically if possible) is planned for March 28th. Upon recovery, I will have chemotherapy and radiation treatment. So, here we are.
