Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

After beating cancer 4 years ago, and after some minor illnesses in recent months, Linda had a blood test that led to a Leukemia diagnosis. (Specifically, Acute Myeloid Leukemia) in early June 2021.

After thorough conversations with her doctors, she courageously decided to undergo an aggressive form of chemotherapy— rounds on Days 1, 3, and 5. That wrapped up on June 17.

In destroying the cancer cells, chemo also kills her “good” cells, making her weaker. On June 21, she received a blood transfusion to help build up her hemoglobin and platelets.

She continues to stay at Regions Hospital for monitoring, and also to eliminate exposure to germs and illnesses.

Fred goes to see her every day, and one other person is allowed.
