About a month ago, Linda went to the Dr. with an issue with night time wheezing and coughing. Dr. thought it would be a good idea to do a chest xray "just in case." A significant spot was found on the lower lobe of her left lung. A CT scan confirmed the spot, but Dr. thought it was pneumonia and prescribed antibiotics (a new GP will be found). A week later and no improvement sent Linda to the walk in clinic. PA did another chest xray and said needed a pet scan immediately. Pet scan confirmed the mass. We immediately set up an appointment for a biopsy done locally and an appointment with a recommended thoracic surgeon at Moffitt. Biopsy confirmed non small cell lung cancer but no metastasis (at least some good news!).
