Hello friends & family! As most of you already know, I was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I am using this site as a way to update all of you at once on the status of my diagnosis, progress, etc. My status will likely be updated by family members, due to a lack of overall energy to do so myself. I will however be logging in regularly and welcome your posts and comments as I plan on reading them and responding whenever I can.

Current Diagnosis: Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma. There are three types of pancreatic cancer and this is the most common of the three. It is also the fastest spreading. We currently do not know which stage it is, but we do know that at this point it is inoperable. There is a mass on my lung that has been biopsied. We are waiting on the results of this biopsy to identify whether or not the lung mass has been contracted from the pancreatic cancer cells spread to the lungs, or if it is something else entirely. These results will identify whether or not it is stage 2 or stage 4. We should have the results in the next several days and will update you all as soon as we know.

Please keep myself and Dennis in your prayers. Prayer, prayer, and more prayers please!!! I also request that this website be your first point of contact for any updated information. It can be difficult and energy-consuming to convey so much information to so many people via the telephone and texts. By using this Caring Bridge website, myself and my family members can keep you up-to-date in a timely manner. I DO however welcome your phone calls and texts by way of checking in or sharing your encouragement. I need and love you all through this journey! Just would like your questions about my medical care and progress to be directed to this site.

I am Italian and if you know me, you know that my family is my world, my everything! I enjoy spending my free time with my loving husband, children, and grandchildren. I also have a large extended family and we are all very close. My sister, cousins and myself still get together regularly and keep connected in each other's lives. I also have a great love and connection with my wonderful church family! Let's face it, if you're partof my life... you're FAMILY to me!!!
